Expert clinical dressing and skin management to promote faster, safer healing.

A wound that is properly cared for heals faster and with fewer complications. At Nehu Health Services, we provide specialized wound and skin care for patients who find it difficult to travel to a clinic. Whether you are recovering from a major surgery or managing a chronic skin condition, our nursing team brings hospital-standard hygiene and advanced dressing techniques directly to your bedside.

Specialized Care for Optimal Healing

The skin is the body's first line of defense. When that defense is compromised by surgery, injury, or age, professional intervention is vital to prevent infection.

Our clinicians focus on "moist wound healing" principles and pressure relief to ensure your skin recovers its integrity as quickly as possible.

Who Benefits?

  • Post-Surgical Patients: Individuals needing sterile dressing changes and suture removal after a hospital stay.

  • Seniors with Limited Mobility: Those at risk of developing pressure sores (bedsores) due to prolonged sitting or lying down.

  • Patients with Chronic Ulcers: Long-term management for diabetic foot ulcers or venous leg ulcers.

  • Accident Recovery: Care for minor to moderate burns, abrasions, or lacerations.

What We Do: Our Wound Care Specialties

Our nursing team is equipped to handle a variety of complex skin and wound needs:

  • Wound Assessment & Dressing: Comprehensive evaluation of wound depth, color, and drainage, followed by application of appropriate clinical dressings.

  • Post-Surgical Care: Monitoring of incision sites for signs of redness or swelling and keeping the area sterile.

  • Pressure Sore Management: Implementation of “turn-clock” schedules and specialized padding to prevent and treat skin breakdown.

  • Burn Care: Management of minor to moderate burns, ensuring the area remains hydrated and protected from bacteria.

  • Suture & Staple Removal: Safe and painless removal of stitches once the wound has closed sufficiently.

Clinical Excellence & Infection Control

At Nehu Health, we treat every wound with the highest level of clinical rigor. Our protocols are designed to minimize the risk of secondary infections and scarring.

  • Aseptic Technique: We use sterile “no-touch” techniques for all dressing changes to keep bacteria away from the wound bed.

  • Advanced Materials: We utilize modern hydrogels, foams, and antimicrobial dressings tailored to your specific wound type.

  • Progress Tracking: We document the healing process with measurements and (with consent) photography to share with your doctor.

  • Education: We teach caregivers how to keep the surrounding skin healthy and how to identify early warning signs of complications.

FAQs on Wound & Skin Care

  • Do I need to buy my own bandages?

We provide the initial clinical supplies. If specific long-term specialized dressings are required, we can help you source them or coordinate with your pharmacy.

  • How do I know if my wound is infected?

Look for increased swelling, warmth, pus, or a fever. Our nurses are trained to spot these signs early during their visits.

  • Can you remove my stitches at home?

Yes, if your surgeon has cleared you for suture or staple removal, our nurses can perform this safely at your home.

  • How often will you visit?

This depends on the wound. Some require daily changes, while others only need attention every 3–4 days.

  • What is a pressure sore?

It is skin damage caused by constant pressure, usually from sitting or lying in one position for too long. We specialize in preventing these for bed-bound patients.

  • Is wound care painful?

We use "gentle-release" adhesives and non-stick dressings whenever possible to minimize discomfort during the process.
